The Horizon System is a translucent paneling product that brings diffuse lighting into built environments. The client sought to reimagine the Horizon product system from the ground-up to be modular, customizable, and installer and builder friendly.
As the lead mechanical engineer, I led the technical development of the Horizon system using Solidworks, finite element analysis, and topology optimization. I also supported our cross-disciplinary team in design research efforts and led client teams through various design frameworks including Jobs To Be Done and value proposition design across several co-creation workshops.
